MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The manufacturing process is carried out with technologically advanced machinery connected with a WI-FI system to a central software.
Every stage of production is managed and monitored internally in the various departments of the plant.

Control of the raw material
The compounds are stored in a special air-conditioned warehouse managed by a computer through the FIFO system.
Quality of the materials is verified by Infrared, Thermogravimetry (TGA), Rheometric curves, as well as through hardness, density and colour control.

Moulding
In order to offer an ever-wider range of products, we have over 60 horizontal injection moulding machines with both traditional and cold vulcanization systems. We also have vertical injection and compression moulding machines as well as those suitable for moulding LSR.

Deburring and Grinding
We remove burrs around items with cryogenic machines. In given situations, the metal beads/microspheres for cleaning our products are replaced with special polycarbonate geometries.

In other cases, burr removal is performed by hand. Residual burrs are removed by abrasion through sieving machines containing water and abrasives

Post vulcanization
To improve the physical and mechanical properties of gaskets, all the items receive this treatment in static or rotary air-convection electric ovens.

Quality control
We then move on to the dimensional inspection of the parts through optical 3D machines allowing non-contact measurement. Hardness testers with automatic laser centring device are used instead to check the hardness. Once the checks are completed, we will be ready for sorting 100% the entire order.

Sorting
Every item produced is checked. Final sorting, according to the type of product, is carried out by hand or electronic machines, so as to check dimensions and surfaces, and eliminate defective products. This type of control allows us to reach even very demanding markets such as the automotive and medical markets. For special situations, we perform clean room testing.
The products are then packaged according to our standards or customized according to your needs.

Storage and Shipping
To make sure for logistical information to move quickly and with no room for error, Tecnogomma has a computerized system that automatically transfers data, from order acquisition to final shipping, minimizing manual insertion in the different stages of the process.

A safety stock for major customers allows us to cater promptly for their peaks of production.
