PRESS-FITTING O-RING

The seals used into fittings so-called “press-fittings” – fitted through pressing- can be considered a kind of evolution of classic O-rings, from which they differ in shape (segmented instead of circular), in cross-section (asymmetrical and elongated instead of circular) and in overall geometry (they have a variable number of regular and measured swelling and shrinking parts).
Due to their effectiveness and ease of installation comparable to that of O-rings, press-fitting technology is widely used in tube and pipe fittings and this market is constantly growing.
