The work sheet DVGW-VP406 has been issued by DVGW and comes with the approvals EN 549 or EN 682 for the gas field in Germany. The work sheet consists in two parts: the first, which is already compulsory in addition to the certifications EN 549 and EN 682, provides an identification test of the elastomeric compound (with the method IR), and is carried out on our materials after the renewal of the approvals which are due to expire (therefore you can find the corresponding reference only on the “new” certificates issued by DVGW). The second one is still optional, and provides the following tests: ozone resistance, strength relaxation test, compression set at the conditions of 3000h/70°C, with value registration every 1000h. This test has the clear purpose of evaluate the material transformation in a significant lapse of time. The maximum admitted compression set value has not been defined yet. Our compound TEC N31-70 disposes of the complete approval according to DVGW-VP406 (annually checked by DVGW with whom we drew up a surveillance contract) and of others approval for gas according to EN 549:1994 class B2 H3 (for gas at temperatures from -20 to +80°C) and EN682:2001. In the material section you will find the technical data sheet of the compound and, on request , we can provide you the above mentioned certificates.

Approvals according to the work sheet DVGW-VP406

We have recently completed the development of a new nitrile compound (named TEC N 41-70) which can be used both for the production of O-Rings and technical parts, and is suitable for the gas and cold drinking water field. As a matter of fact, we have obtained the DVGW EN 549:1994 class B1 H3( use with gas at a temperature from 0 to +80°C). We wish to point out that for the gas field TECNOGOMMA INTERNATIONAL can supply seals in the compound TEC N41-70 CE marked as construction products; this because the initial tests for the seals of GBL type ( use for fluid hydrocarbon and fuel gas at temperatures from -15 to +50°C ) carried out according to EN 682:2001 by a notified organization had positive results. Concerning the cold drinking water field, this compound is EN 681-1 WA and WC (cold drinking and undrinkable water) approved, and has all the main international certifications as well. To be more precise, WRAS for Great Britain, KTW for Germany, NSF for the U.S.A., CLP for France and conformity with the D.M. 06/06/04 n°174 for Italy. In the material section you will the technical data sheet of the compound and, on request we can provide you the above mentioned certificates.

Available the new compound TEC N41-70

As far as the cold and hot drinking water concerns, our compound TIMO®-70 is worldwide credited among the best peroxide EPDM for rubber O-Rings and technical parts used in various applications. Recently it has been widely employed in the press fittings field. This is a material with very good physical-mechanical characteristics and is approved according to all the main international certifications for cold and hot drinking water, has some approvals for the food and pharmacologic field and is completely plasticizer-free. Nevertheless, in order to fully satisfy our customers’ requests, we have extended the TIMO® range through the introduction of two new compounds: TIMO® 3-70 and TIMO® 5-70. They have the same good physical-mechanical characteristics, but are cheaper than TIMO®-70. TIMO® 3-70 for instance, has in its formulation a part of plasticizer-oil (contained in the positive list of all the main European regulations for drinking water), which improves the convertibility with a considerable decrease of the production costs. This compound can be used in all the applications as for TIMO®-70, as it is DVGW-W534 approved. In the material section you will find the technical data sheet of the compound with the list of other approvals for the drinking water, food and pharmacological field. The compound TIMO® 5-70 takes place between TIMO®-70 and TIMO® 3-70 . In the material section you will find the technical data sheet of the compounds and, on request, we can provide you the respective certificates and some versions of the TIMO® compounds in various hardnesses.
